A little about why we make organic, handmade soap on Ærø.

We’re used to making adventurous choices with our eyes wide open.

Before we moved to Ærø, our winding path took us on adventures in Canada, Scotland, Germany, and Ireland, always in the company of our children.

But it was Ærø—with its unique climate and gentle rhythm—that captured our hearts and inspired our creative desire to turn the fragile beauty of nature into natural, beautifully scented soaps.

When the children left the nest, we took the leap and moved to Ærø. And we haven’t looked back since: the nature, the people, and the spirit of this beautiful island have enchanted us.

With Ærø Soap Co., we’ve found the opportunity to bring our creativity to life and create something that brings joy and indulgence. Something that reminds us to cherish and protect the natural world and its diversity.

And, just as importantly, something that reminds us to pause and be kind to ourselves and to each other.
